Format:
The seminar will meet in person in my office at Aurora University most (but not all) Tuesdays from 5:00 – 6:00 starting on 1/17. If an hour does not offer enough time for questions and discussion, we can start earlier, but I’ve got a class I need to teach at 6:00, so I can’t go later than that.
Each session of the seminar will look at one of the nine chapters of Lionel Bailly’s Lacan: A Beginner’s Guide.
- There is a gap in February (we will not meet on 2/7 or 2/14) because my partner and I are expecting to have our third child, and I’m 100% sure I won’t be able to concentrate as much as I’ll need to.
- There is another break in April (we will not meet on 4/4, 4/11, and we might not meet on 4/18 because we will be using that chapter as an assigned reading for SWK-6521) because I want students to have a few weeks to focus on their end-of-the-semester work.
This will be a participant (i.e., student) lead Colloquium, not an instructor-led seminar! This means the time will be dedicated to discussing the questions you have and the comments, criticism, and concerns you have.
